With the drill pipe now in place, the water pump is activated, simultaneously prompting the drill bit to commence digging deep into the soil.

The drill bit sinks down into the earth, and the pump sends water cascading through the drill pipe and into the depths of the hole. This water cools the drill bit and whisks away any debris produced by the drilling process.

The drill bit can burrow through the earth until it finally penetrates the water table. This is essentially the level at which the dirt is brimming with H2O.

Once the drill bit penetrates the subterranean water reservoir, its contents will begin to ascend the drill pipe until it reaches the truck, steadily filling the vehicle with rich liquid from the depths.

To complete the task, the truck will be equipped with a storage container that houses the water essential for the job. The contents of the tank will then be transferred into the aperture via a pumping system.

As the pool of liquid accumulates, the mechanical drill will commence burrowing through the foundation of solid rock located beneath the subterranean water level.

The drill bit will tirelessly burrow into the bedrock until the planned depth is met, upon which the water pump will be shut down and the pipe extricated from the hole.

A well is nothing more than a deep cavity dug into the ground — groundwater is all that fills it.
